Annette Colleran is a multidisciplinary artist based in Galway. Her work is grounded in research and personal enquiry. Informed by conversations and written accounts, her work engages with human experience, particularly shared histories, legacy and transformative life events. Creating sculptural installations, Annette uses digital media, sublimation printing, painting, textiles, wood, metal, found and fabricated objects to translate her research into three-dimensional form that invites reflection, dialogue and conversation. Alongside her practice, Annette facilitates art engagement events for groups.
Annette Studied at ATU Galway where she was awarded degree in Contemporary art (hons) and an MA in Creative Practice (hons). She was also awarded an MA in Adult Learning and Development (hons) from University of Galway where she developed an interest in transformative learning.
Her work has been selected for curated group exhibitions at 126 Artist-Run Gallery in Galway, as part of the Clifden Arts Trail, and in the Laneway Gallery, Cork as part of a group exhibition with the BACA Collective. Annette's newest body of work "Someone, No-one, Anyone" was shown in the Hynes Building, Galway as part of the 2025 MA Graduate exhibition.
